Delaware heads to Annapolis on Saturday afternoon in its first college football game of the 2022 season.
The Delaware Blue Hens take the trip to Annapolis on Saturday to take on the Navy Midshipmen. The Blue Hens will have the unenvious task of trying to stop the vaunted triple option of Navy and pull off a huge upset in week one. The Midshipmen, though, will be looking to avoid the upset as it gets ready for an early conference game against Memphis next Saturday. Navy will host the Tigers in its first conference game of the year and are hoping to head into that game with a big first win on Saturday against a pesky Blue Hens team.

The Blue Hens finished the 2021 season just 5-6, but got off to a 3-1 start. The one loss during that opening to the season was to FBS school Rutgers 45-13. It was a tough game against the Scarlet Knights, but Saturday they will look to be better against Navy.
The Midshipmen are looking to have a bounce back year this season as they went just 4-8 in 2021. They started the year just 1-6 and even though they won three of their last five they just couldn’t recover. They hope 2022 can be much better and that starts with a win on Saturday.
