How to Watch Rangers at Wild: Stream NHL Live, TV Channel
The New York Rangers (1-0-0) picked up a win at home on Tuesday night to open their season and now hit the road for the first time. The Blueshirts visit Xcel Energy Center to take on the Minnesota Wild, who are playing their season opener. The Wild had a strong preseason, finishing 6-1 and beating the Dallas Stars 5-1 on Saturday night in their final tuneup. New York bounced back from missing the playoffs in 2021 to make a run to the conference finals last year, coming up short in six games to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Minnesota has made the postseason three straight years but hasn’t won a series since 2015.

Mika Zibanejad scored twice on Tuesday, once shorthanded and one on the power play, to lead the Rangers to a 3-1 win over the Lightning in a conference finals rematch at Madison Square Garden. Barclay Goodrow added an insurance goal in the third period and Igor Shesterkin stopped 25 shots to get the victory.
Minnesota is coming off a franchise-best 53 wins last season but was stunned by the St. Louis Blues in the first round of the playoffs. The Wild traded 33-goal scorer Kevin Fiala and top goalie Cam Talbot in the offseason. Minnesota will gamble on young Filip Gustavsson in goal, acquired for Talbot from the Senators.
But the Wild still has winger Kirill Kaprizov, who scored 47 goals and 108 points last season, as well as 34-goal scorer Ryan Hartman.
