The Vancouver Canucks will take on Arizona Coyotes at Rogers Arena (Vancouver) in the NHL Preseason game on October 7. The Arizona Coyotes hit the road to Vancouver today as their training camp roster continues to grow. Forwards Barrett Hayton and Christian Fischer, who both played in two of the Coyotes’ four pre-season games, lead the club with three points each. Dylan Guenther, Nick Ritchie, Shayne Gostisbehere, Matias Maccelli, Nick Schmaltz, and Conor Timmins each have two points. Arizona has reduced its initial squad from 53 players in training camp to 33, most recently assigning defensive players Victor Söderström and Cam Crotty, as well as forward Milos Kelemen, to the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners.

After playing four pre-season games over a five-day period at the start of training camp, the club was finally given a short break to focus more on fundamentals and less on gameplay. Head coach André Tourigny said: “The last four days are what we say to each other, the heart of the camp. “This is really the only time we have to practice and work on our fundamentals and make sure we have the same language and everything,” Tourigny said. The team’s remaining games – two against Vegas and one against the Vancouver Canucks – will be used to gauge the synergy between different players, both at equal strength and in special teams.

The Coyotes’ strength is third among all pre-season teams with 36.4%, while their strength is 14th with 85%. Johansson, who will play his first game with the Coyotes. The 27-year-old Swedish goalie played 32 NHL games in three seasons with the Sabers, Colorado Avalanche and Florida Panthers. His best season was in 2020-21 when he won 5-6-2 with a save rate of 0.897 and a goal-to-average score of 2.86 out of 15 games against him. Avalanche and Sabers. Jonas Johansson, who was relieved of duty on Friday, is likely to score against the Golden Knights. This will be a good test for the 6-foot-5 goalkeeper, who was drafted for the 61st time by the Buffalo Sabers in 2014.
