The Denver Broncos’ visit to the New Orleans Saints marks the return of Thursday Night Football. It’s difficult to make this decision. Despite a fourth-quarter comeback by the Broncos against the Chargers and a final 27-point comeback by the Saints against the Buccaneers, both clubs suffered defeats last week.

UPDATE ON INJURIES

The Broncos ruled out lineman Alex Palczewski (ankle) and cornerback Pat Surtain II (concussion). Cornerbacks Riley Moss (hip) and Ja’Quan McMillian (ankle) and inside linebacker Justin Strnad (ribs) were not given game statuses, meaning they will be available to play in Thursday’s match. Both tackle Mike McGlinchey (knee) and outside linebacker Baron Browning (foot) were classified as questionable.

Both Browning and McGlinchey are eligible to play on Thursday in New Orleans after Denver designated them for return from injured reserve on Tuesday. The Broncos must activate Browning and McGlinchey to the 53-man roster in order for them to participate against the Saints. Additionally eligible for activation is cornerback Damarri Mathis (ankle), who was listed as questionable.

Chris Olave (concussion), Rashid Shaheed (knee), linebacker Pete Werner (hamstring), and center Cesar Ruiz (knee) were all out for New Orleans. Center/guard Lucas Patrick (chest) and defensive tackle Khalen Saunders (back) were listed as questionable, while tight end Taysom Hill (rib) and quarterback Derek Carr (oblique) were rated as doubtful.
