The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m. ET Sunday at Soldier Field. The 49ers will be seeking to avenge the 14-9 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Dec. 23 of 2018.

San Francisco came up short against the Indianapolis Colts last week, falling 30-18. QB Jimmy Garoppolo had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: despite one touchdown, he threw two interceptions and fumbled the ball once with only 181 yards passing.

Meanwhile, the evening started off rough for Chicago last week, and it ended that way, too. They took a serious blow against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, falling 38-3. Chicago was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 35-3. The losing side was boosted by RB Khalil Herbert, who picked up 100 yards on the ground on 18 carries. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time Herbert has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season.

San Francisco is the favorite in this one, with an expected 4-point margin of victory. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past four games, so buyers beware.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Giving up four turnovers, San Francisco had had trouble holding onto the ball. We’ll see if the Bears can exploit that vulnerability.

How To Watch

The 49ers are a 4-point favorite against the Bears, according to the latest NFL odds.
