The New Orleans Saints host the Atlanta Falcons for a NFC South rivalry game as they meet Sunday in week 11 NFL action at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

The Atlanta Falcons are coming off a bye week and have a chance at a third straight victory. The Atlanta Falcons have split their last four road games. Matt Ryan is completing 67.2 percent of his passes for 2,746 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions. Ryan has one or less touchdown passes in five of his last seven games. Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones have combined for 1,295 receiving yards and nine touchdowns while Hayden Hurst has 37 receptions. The Atlanta Falcons ground game is averaging 106.8 yards per contest, and Todd Gurley II leads the way with 584 yards and nine touchdowns. Defensively, Atlanta is allowing 27.9 points and 410 yards per game. Foyesade Oluokun leads the Atlanta Falcons with 64 tackles, Grady Jarrett has 2.5 sacks and Blidi Wreh-Wilson has two interceptions.

The New Orleans Saints look to pad their NFC South lead while adding to their six-game winning streak. The New Orleans Saints have won four of their last five home games. Drew Brees is completing 73.5 percent of his passes for 2,196 yards, 18 touchdowns and three interceptions. Brees has two or more touchdown passes in 10 of his last 13 games. Alvin Kamara and Emmanuel Sanders have combined for 995 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Tre’Quan Smith has 26 receptions. The New Orleans Saints ground game is averaging 120.8 yards per contest, and Kamara leads the way with 486 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, New Orleans is allowing 23.7 points and 308.2 yards per game. Demario Davis leads the New Orleans Saints with 59 tackles, Trey Hendrickson has 7.5 sacks and Marcus Williams has two interceptions.

The Falcons are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog. The Saints are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. NFC South, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite. The over is 7-2 in Saints last 9 games overall. The Falcons are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

The Atlanta Falcons are playing their best football of the season right now and have had an extra week to prepare for this contest. The New Orleans Saints have improved drastically defensively over the last month and are riding a solid six-game winning streak. The issue here is the Falcons three wins have come against teams with a combined 9-18 record, so I question if this team has truly turned the corner. Also, the Saints have won six of the last 10 meetings against the Falcons and have covered seven of those contests. I need to see the Falcons put together a solid 60 minutes against a top tier team before I have confidence in them in games like this.

I’ll take my chances with the Saints by a touchdown.
