No. 14 Northwestern is off to a dominant start in Orlando, Florida, as it leads Auburn 14-0 after the first quarter of the Citrus Bowl. The Wildcats didn’t wait long to take the lead, either marching 75 yards in nine plays on the game’s opening drive to take a 7-0 lead. The drive included a conversion on third-and-long before Peyton Ramsey hit Ramaud Chiaokhiao-Bowman for a 35-yard score.

The Wildcats would score again later in the quarter with another long drive. The Cats went 68 yards in 10 plays and finished it off with Peyton Ramsey’s second TD toss of the day.
Ramsey has completed 11 of his first 14 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Auburn only has 76 yards and two first downs total. The quarter ended with the Tigers turning the ball over on downs in Northwestern territory. You get the sense that if the Wildcats get points on their opening drive of the second quarter, this one is over.
