East Carolina vs. Campbell: How to watch live stream, TV channel, NCAA Football start time
The Campbell Fighting Camels are staring down a pretty large 32.5-point disadvantage in the spread for Saturday’s game. They are staying on the road Saturday to face off against the East Carolina Pirates at 6 p.m. ET Sept. 17 at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
The contest between Campbell and the William & Mary Tribe last week was not a total blowout, but with the Fighting Camels falling 37-21 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one.
Meanwhile, when you finish with 244 more yards than your opponent like East Carolina did last week, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They strolled past the Old Dominion Monarchs with points to spare, taking the matchup 39-21. The win came about even with the Pirates handicapping themselves with 85 penalty yards. Their RB Keaton Mitchell was on fire, rushing for two TDs and 160 yards on 18 carries. Mitchell put himself on the highlight reel with an 81-yard TD scramble in the fourth quarter.
East Carolina’s defense was a presence as well, as it got past Old Dominion’s offensive line to sack QB Hayden Wolff four times for a total loss of 24 yards. It was a group effort with five guys contributing.
East Carolina’s victory lifted them to 1-1 while Campbell’s loss dropped them down to 1-1. We’ll see if East Carolina’s success rolls on or if the Fighting Camels are able to steal their positive momentum.
