Learn more about the Texas State Bobcats and the Arizona State Sun Devils.
Kicking off Week 3 of college football is a matchup between two undefeated teams — Arizona State and Texas State.
Hitting the road for the first time this season, the Sun Devils are visiting the Bobcats in San Marcos. The program has struggled in recent years, going 3-9 in the final year of the Pac-12. Now, joining the Big 12 after the departure of Texas and Oklahoma, Arizona State may be able to tack on a few more wins this season.
Powerhouse running back Cam Skattebo will undoubtedly bring some electricity to the offense. The fourth-year veteran had a career-high game against Mississippi State last week, rushing for 262 yards to contribute to the 30-23 win.
Texas State is on the up and up. The Bobcats went 8-5 last season, which was their best finish as an FBS team. They also played in their first bowl game, the First Responder Bowl, and ousted Rice 45-21. With more momentum, they could be a contender for the Sun Belt Conference this year.
Star pass-rusher Ben Bell and reigning Sun Belt Player of the Year Jordan McCloud should make the Bobcats offense dangerous.
